As part of the mutual partnership between the cities, representatives of the Department of Ecology and Public Works Control took part in the annual meeting of partner cities in Stuttgart.
This year's event was dedicated to solving environmental problems related to water resources and climate change adaptation. This event brings together people from different cities to strengthen our ties and hold interesting discussions on important environmental issues.
Representatives of the Khmelnytsky delegation talked to delegations from St Helens (England), Cardiff (Wales), St Louis (USA), Menzel-Bourguiba (Tunisia), Lodz (Poland), Brno (Czech Republic), Strasbourg (France), and Stuttgart (Germany).
They heard reports from Stuttgart on energy and climate change mitigation, as well as presentations from St Helens, St Louis and Cardiff.
We visited NeckarPark, a new urban neighbourhood that is playing a pioneering role in terms of energy and environmental policy. A future-oriented energy concept is being developed for NeckarPark, which ensures the maximum possible supply of local renewable energy sources, such as solar energy, geothermal energy or waste water heat.
They also took part in the opening of a new city directional sign.
No funds from the Khmelnytskyi community budget were used to organise the trip.
