Businesses and civil organizations can join the advisory council under the “Zero Waste Cities” program

The office "Smart Environment. Khmelnytskyi" invites businesses, educational institutions and public organisations operating in the Khmelnytskyi city community to join the Advisory Board of the Khmelnytskyi community within the framework of the European Zero Waste Cities certification programme.

“Zero Waste Cities” programme is aimed at supporting cities in their transition to an economy based on the rational use of resources and waste prevention.

Participation in the programme will improve the waste management system in the community, bringing it closer to European standards. In addition, the participants will gain knowledge that will help reduce the negative impact on the environment by improving work processes.

Participation in the Advisory Board includes:

- assistance in the development, implementation and monitoring of the Zero Waste plan, which will become part of the Local Waste Management Plan;

- participation in working meetings within the programme;

- organisation of events and internal processes that comply with the principles of the circular economy and Zero Waste, such as rational use of resources, waste prevention, reuse, recycling and composting.
