A meeting was held at the “Youth Center” between representatives of the partner city of Stuttgart and active youth of the Khmelnytskyi community. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss important issues of interaction between youth and public organizations and local government bodies.
Representatives of Stuttgart got acquainted with the youth spaces of our city, as well as with the opportunities provided to youth in Khmelnytskyi. The guests were told about the work of the Youth Center, the activities of the Youth Council in various areas, as well as the work of centers for children and adolescents and the Ploskyriv sports and cultural center.
Special attention during the meeting was paid to issues of supporting Ukrainian identity among youth and discussed tools for its preservation among Ukrainians abroad. The participants shared successful practices of holding local events and methods of involving youth in active public activities.
In addition, the youth presented the activities of the Plast movement in Khmelnytskyi, in particular, they talked about the organization of events, weekly group work and the activities of the Plast House as a platform for cooperation between the authorities and the community. The meeting was an important step in the development of cooperation between the youth communities of Khmelnytskyi and Stuttgart, which will contribute to the further exchange of experience and the implementation of joint projects.
