New educational project presented in Khmelnytskyi to help start or develop a business

Today, in the renovated premises of the “Dytyachyy Svit” shopping center, a new educational project "Fashion Training Center: a growth point for professionals" was presented.

The project offers participants training for three months according to a program based on express methods and focused on practical skills. Students will be able to work directly at the production facilities of garment enterprises, gaining real experience.

"Events like today give energy to move forward, because we live in difficult times. This project has collected everything that Khmelnytsky cannot live without - youth, children, business, garment cluster. We have many cool brands and manufacturers who supply their products far beyond the borders of Ukraine, but I am convinced that after the defense of the practice, we will have even more entrepreneurs and this project will help already existing businesses, which are having a very difficult time today," said Deputy Mayor Mykola Vavryshchuk.

An important feature of the project is working with teenagers. They will get acquainted with the professions of the fashion industry, master financial literacy and the basics of entrepreneurship, and even gain experience in the sewing business. Each project participant will complete the training with a presentation of their business plan. The training of teenagers will be held at the “KATRAN” Business School.

For young people aged 18-35, two training courses are offered, which take into account the initial skills of the participants. In turn, each course contains several different areas that cover the most relevant specialties in the sewing industry. The training will be conducted at the “Fashion Training Center”, which is located in the premises of the Department of Technology and Design of Sewing Products of Khmelnytskyi National University.

During the training, schoolchildren aged 14-17 will go on excursions, and young people aged 18-35 will have the opportunity to do internships and get jobs at sewing enterprises of the “Podilskyi Fashion Cluster”.

Also, as part of the event, several clothing collections by talented Khmelnytskyi designers were shown.

In general, the project presented today will allow young people to gain the necessary skills to create their own business or develop an existing one. During the training, professional trainers will share not only theoretical knowledge, but also real examples of the implementation of successful business projects, the authors and implementers of which are creative youth.

The project is being implemented by the NGO Agency for Sustainable Development "Astar" within the framework of the USAID program “Mriyemo ta diyemo” ("Dream and Act"), which is implemented by IREX.
